If you’ve driven past Lake and Minnehaha recently, you’ve probably noticed the start of construction in the new Aldi parking lot. The south half of the lot and adjacent drive land is being refreshed with new pavement, sidewalks and stormwater infrastructure. The northern portion of the lot is slated for 189 units of housing called Midtown Corner to be developed by Wellington Management. There is a project website for Midtown Corner where you can view updates and photos during the construction process: www.midtowncorner.com Come join us for a happy-hour conversation on how the construction and future housing will impact Downtown Longfellow and the wider business community. The Schooner Tavern will be hosting and Project Manager, Casey Dzieweczynski, will be there with diagrams to answer any questions and concerns. Snacks will be provided by the LBA and happy-hour drinks will be available for purchase. Please RSVP to kim@longfellowbusinessassociation.org.
