Kim Jakus has been working for the LBA for since July 2018, but was originally connected to the LBA through her work at the Longfellow Community Council from 2008-2011. She is happy to be working in Greater Longfellow again. The mix of amazing food, art, retail, non-profits, transit, industry and green space really represents the best of Minneapolis. Kim is amazed by business owners who not only successfully run their own business, but also take time to support their fellow businesses, neighbors and social causes. The business community in Longfellow feels like family.
In addition to her part-time job with the LBA, Kim also juggles work at the Wedge Co-op, Mill City Farmers Market, and is a full-time mom of a toddler. Kim and her husband Matt live with their 4-year old son Walter in Minneapolis. They love gardening, camping, cooking, traveling overseas, hanging out by the Mississippi River and time with friends and family. |
