Monthly MEETINGS
The Longfellow Business Association meets every 2nd Thursday of the month to talk about and work on issues of concern to the business community.
Meetings are held at area businesses and usually last an hour. Agenda items range from approval of minutes and budget items to scheduling neighborhood cleanup sweeps and spring planting days. Breakout working committee sessions and brainstorm sessions are regularly scheduled. There are frequent guest speakers and it isn't unusual for a city council member, congress person or state representative to attend an LBA meeting. Officers are elected annually at the April meeting.
Check the Longfellow Community calendar or contact the LBA office at 612-722-4529 to find out meetings times and locations.
Annual Events
Some of our annual events include:
- Sponsorship of the Lake Street Ambassadors program that employs youth through the Minneapolis Step-Up program to clean up trash in the Lake Street corridor
- Annual presentation of the Diane Radtke Award for most improved building in the Longfellow neighborhood.
